WITHOUT COMMUNITY PARTNERS
Without community partners, the siloed, vertical flow of resources (in this model, vaccines) fails to reach vulnerable communities, whose access is limited by barriers like job constraints, less digital access, less transportation access, distance from health care, language barriers, mobility issues, discrimination and health insurance. Privileged communities fare well.
WITH COMMUNITY PARTNERS
With community collaboratives, resources are reallocated laterally through distribution events and other strategies that meet community needs. This intervention successfully reallocated the resource laterally, resulting in equitable distribution.
