Our Work

Collaborative and Impactful Work

Currently our work is focused on our community response to COVID-19. We expect our specific projects to change over time, depending on the needs of our community and the changing pandemic landscape. In addition to our collaborative work, our members and partners each have their own areas of community response.

Our Approach Employs

Theory of Change

We work to create change in our community and here is our core logic chain:
0

Systemic change requires information sharing and collaboration among a variety of stakeholders.

Breaking silos is requisite to the partnership required for collaboration.

Building trust is requisite for breaking silos.

Authentic communication requires high intention, making space for and validating disparate viewpoints, and active listening.

0

Active listening requires ongoing checks on assumptions and a generated sense of ownership of what is being said by the listener. It also requires not qualifying, mitigating, or suppressing the mode of communication.

To restore equity, one must:

Accept that inequity exists, and that we all participate in it.

Be rigorous about ferreting out where it exists and how we participate.

Account for and check power and privilege at the door.
Rebalance, surrender, or leverage power and privilege for the sake of the collective good.
