Austin's Power Outages
With over 30,000 people out of power, many residents will be waiting for Austin Energy to fix power lines that are not within their jurisdiction. While Austin Energy is responsible for the main lines, lines from the pole to the house are the owner's responsibility. This will likely cause a bottleneck of contracts for electricians and arborists. We are actively organizing to support folks in finding the resources they need to restore power and recover from the impacts of power outages. Collaboration will make a difference.
